Dual‐band filtering power amplifier with extended passband bandwidths and wide stopband rejection

This article presents a dual-band filtering power amplifier (DB-FPA) with extended passband bandwidths and wide stopband rejection, which is helpful in reducing the number of microwave components radio frequency front end, resulting compact circuit size low loss. In designed DB-FPA, wideband low-pass filter applied as input matching network (IMN) to provide impedance good while transformation adopted output (OMN) matchings responses simultaneously. Specifically, IMN constructed by high-impedance transmission-line sections low-impedance open-circuit stubs. The OMN based on specific external quality factors coupling coefficients during two bands, transformations responses. Then, above OMN, design procedure presented DB-FPA summarised. To verify proposed idea, novel has been fabricated measured. During measured maximum added efficiencies are 55.11% 47.78% within 33.0 dBm power, peak gains 15.4 14.0 dB 15.0 power.
